Sleep Animal Missing on March 1

    Greetings to all.

I am new to Fitbit Luxe, & a first time user. I've successfully logged 25 nights with very accurate results. I've checked and rechecked the requirement for the sleep animal assignment.

    1. Premium user (Check)

    2. 14 sleep nights recorded (check)

    3. Device compatibility LUXE  (check)

My Android device is an LG G8 ThinQ. It was successfully synced on February 7 and aside from minor random glitches, works reliably. I know how to change my clock face, access my stats and see details on both the app and the web.

Perhaps when and if the animal comes into my account, it will be in a separate place? I've been looking in my Monthly Sleep Profile. Nothing. I've read that the Luxe is being phased out/discontinued. Maybe this is why. I can live without it, but would have liked to take understanding to the "next level."

Thank you for your patience and answers.

This appears to be the answer. I needed to chat with support. The instructions were, click on my Google icon (brown O), go into Fitbit settings, find Restore purchases. Click and done. My potential animals show, but it is not retroactive. 😥

@BeHea1thy Do you get the detailed sleep log with the sleep stages? That is also required to get a sleep animal. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app? Here is a screenshot of my app with my sleep animal.

    Thank you Heather-M,

Yes, my stages all appear in 24 intact logs. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling as you suggest. I'm a bit nervous because in case I trash the whole thing but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Will check back later to update.

@BeHea1thy   You won't lose synced data if you need to uninstall, then reinstall your app.  Out of interest, what do you see below the sleep score bar graph?

    Hello LZeeW,

    Hello LZeeW

I successfully uninstalled and reinstalled retaining my data, but it did not solve the problem. I am getting a bizarre error message containing numbers with every screenshot I attach. I see three sections below the bar.

Sleep Score, Hours Slept, Sleep Schedule

Your Monthly Sleep Profile, Learn More

@BeHea1thy Can you click on the Sleep Profile section? Or Learn More? There is no animal there? Is there a countdown of the nights logged?

@BeHea1thy One other thing to try. Try turning your sleep off and then back on. So on the Today screen, click the little pencil :pencil: icon  that should be near the upper right hand corner. Then find your sleep from the menu and toggle it off (see my screenshot) and save. Then edit again and toggle it back on.

Heather, I am totally impressed with your interest and initiative here! Thank you. 😊

    1. My sleep profile section shows nothing except the "learn more" button to the right.
    2. The "learn more" shows a full page of blah, blah, blah, (How your Sleep Profile works Didn't Get a Sleep Profile> What is a Sleep Animal) etc

    3. I do show Hours Slept but the logs are broken into weeks, I don't see a total number, I have to count the bars.
    4. There are 4  one hour naps sprinkled in, could that be interfering with the results?

    5. I found the sleep duration under the today menu, toggled off, saved, toggled on, saved, no change.

My next thought is to restart the device. Do you have any tips as to why the forum won't let me attach a screenshot? Should I name it something bland, instead of a date?

    Thanks for your kindness!

@BeHea1thy Hmmm when you look at your Today dashboard, does it say “Fitbit Premium” at the top? Naps shouldn’t affect getting a sleep animal.

If you confirm you do have Premium, I would restart your device or do a total factory reset - your data won’t be lost, just make sure you sync your device to the app first.

@Heather-S  Yes, it says Fitbit Premium. OK, I won't stress about naps.

I've got to work up my nerve for the restart. Thanks again for what may be the final solution.

Yes! It was an adventure. I learned a bit about attachments,  overcoming fear & accepting reality. Not as scary as I thought.

    Have a good Monday. 💥

This is a follow up clarifying what to look for in Premium to ensure you're on track by having your nights LOGGED

@Heather-Sposted a screenshot of her app on 3-2-24.

Between Your Monthly Sleep Profile and This Week there is a line with "__  Nights Logged." The blank being the number of nights data is available.

If you already have your sleep animal, it will appear here. And also your nights logged.
If you don't have your sleep animal, you will only see " number of Nights Logged. The minimum is 14 nights, but you can log as many as you want beyond that. ProfileLogging.jpg
