BLACKPINK took the world by storm with the highly anticipated new music video for 'Pink Venom' when it was released on August 19, breaking records as it became the #3 biggest 24-hour music video debut of all time on YouTube, and BLACKPINK’s biggest ever, with 90.4M views. With BLACKPINK excitement at an all-time high, BLINKs around the globe headed to YouTube Shorts following the video’s premiere to give their own personal spin on the group’s iconic new dance moves in the #PinkVenomChallenge, which came to a close today.

After a tease from the global pop superstars, BLACKPINK officially revealed details of the #PinkVenomChallenge just prior to the video’s debut, getting fans geared up to tune in and then head exclusively to YouTube Shorts to partake in the challenge with a few simple steps. From the US to South Korea to Brazil, BLINKs did their own amazing takes on BLACKPINK’s dance moves from the 'Pink Venom' music video, added the hashtag #PinkVenomChallenge to the Shorts caption, and published live. If that wasn’t enough, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa also all shared their own personal Shorts to help inspire fans to learn the signature moves and join in on the fun.

Fueled in part by the challenge, the 'Pink Venom' frenzy continues as BLACKPINK lands at #6 on YouTube’s Global Top Artists chart this week. With the challenge coming to an end, 'Pink Venom' remains at #1 this week on Global Top Songs and just last week, BLACKPINK also became the first artist ever to reach 80 million subscribers to their Official Artist Channel on YouTube.

To celebrate the BLINKs who joined in on the fun of the #PinkVenomChallenge, as well as the major success of 'Pink Venom' on YouTube, BLACKPINK tweeted some of their favorite challenge Shorts.

What’s more, tune in tonight at 11 PM ET to BLACKPINK’s Official Artist Channel as the group hosts a ‘countdown party’ ahead of the all-new video for 'Shut Down' and just before ‘BORN PINK’ is released at 12AM ET.

BLINKs worldwide can continue to create YouTube Shorts each and everyday featuring both new and classic music from BLACKPINK.
