UPDATE 5/21: Comcast's StreamSaver bundle launches on May 29, and will offer new and existing Xfinity Internet and TV customers access to Apple TV+, Netflix, and Peacock for $15 per month. A bundle with Now TV will be $30 per month. Now TV usually runs $20 per month and offers 40+ live and on-demand channels from networks like HGTV, Hallmark, and more.

The plan includes Apple TV+, which normally costs $9.99; ad-based Netflix, which runs $6.99 on its own; and Peacock Premium, which is currently $5.99 per month but will jump to $7.99 in July.

Original Story 5/14:
Comcast is prepping a "StreamSaver" bundle that will include Netflix, Apple TV+, and Peacock together for a cheaper price than if purchased separately, the telecommunications giant announced Tuesday at a media conference in New York.

“We’ve been bundling video successfully and creatively for 60 years,” Comcast CEO Brian Roberts said. "This is the latest iteration of that, and I think this will be a pretty compelling package.”

The StreamSaver bundle is expected to launch later this month. Pricing has not yet been revealed at time of writing, but Roberts says the upcoming bundle will "come at a vastly reduced price to anything available today."

Comcast owns NBCUniversal and its Peacock streaming app, which currently offers shows like Yellowstone, House, and Suits. Comcast's bundle will go live before Peacock hikes rates for its standalone streaming app (again) by $2 a month this July, raising prices to $7.99 monthly for the ad-supported version and $13.99 a month to go ad-free.

In the US, Netflix currently costs $6.99 a month with ads, $15.49 without ads, or $22.99 a month for its 4K-supported "Premium" version. Apple TV+ costs $9.99 a month, but can also be accessed with an Apple One subscription for $19.95 a month, which bundles other Apple subscriptions like Apple Music and iCloud.

Last week, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery revealed they'll be launching a trio streaming app bundle of their own that will include Disney+, Disney-owned Hulu, and Warner Bros.' Max app, formerly known as HBO Max. Their offering is expected to launch sometime this summer, but pricing hasn't been revealed for this trio bundle, either.

More streamers are looking to bundle their services at a discount in hopes they'll be able to keep more subscribers paying for longer. An April report from Techsponential analyst Avi Greengart predicts that "super bundles" will be the next big thing in streaming because subscribers are frequently cancelling their subscriptions whenever they're done watching a handful of specific shows or movies.

Greengart notes that some bundles, like T-Mobile's Go5G and Magenta bundles, already include Netflix for free—but most T-Mobile subscribers aren't taking advantage of it. Spotify has also offered Hulu's ad-supported version for free with a Spotify Premium subscription for years. This Spotify bundle also used to include Showtime, but that streaming service shut down April 30 and became part of Paramount+, which is not included with Spotify Premium.
