I love that because it’s connected to Bluesky, it automatically follows the creators I follow there! It was such a great surprise to see one of my favorite content creators show up on my feed and that I was already following them! I noticed the double-tap “like” feature inconsistently lags. I’m also going to parrot feedback I saw requesting dates and timestamps on the video. It’s so neat to see it respond to my interactions in real time! Can’t wait to see as it continues to grow!ETA: bummed to see there’s no “repost” feature. I’m guessing that’s by design since there’s such an emphasis on creators owning their content?Also noticing that trying to watch videos directly from the “Liked” tab on my profile is not working. Clicking on videos in that tab produces a “Cannot Load Video” error message.

It’s the same as all other social media. They force religious propaganda down your throat no matter how many times you mark it as not interested, the process to switch from your following feed to a discovery feed (and back) is about as intuitive as trigonometry, and to be honest the quality of content found on the app is mediocre in both production and substance. The UI is absolutely terrible. If feels like the devs wanted to try to maintain simplicity but in order to do so had to try to combine functions that just don’t work. For example: to “explore” you swipe right to see new categories until you find something interesting and then swipe down. Now, I have to admit on paper this layout seems promising. When put in to practice is when it falls apart. If you’ve been exploring topics for a few mins and want to go back to your following feed, you now have to swipe left past all the topics you JUST PASSED to get back to the people that your following or completely close and then reopen the app…….devs……come on……why is that not JUST A NORMAL BUTTON?????? Now, I get it, this app is brand new and I’m sure the devs aren’t done updating things. Perhaps in six months with some actual traffic this app could be something special, but right now it fails to hit that mark.

It’s alright. Couple things I wish were there- double tapping to heart, speed up of video by holding and swiping down, and I wish the interactive options were on either side of the screen- like if you could change it as a setting for switching hands to hold my phone back and forth. Also, when you try to search for an account, when the accounts show up it says all of them have no followers and the follow button doesn’t work. You have to tap into the account to follow. Then when you tap back out, hoping to go to your search results, you get kicked out of your search results and have to start the search all over again and try to figure out where in your search results you left off. We should be able to see how many followers the account has and follow them without having to tap their account and get kicked out of the search results. But, here to try for a while now that TT is gone. I just hope they fix these things because it really is helpful.

after using for a little while and connecting it to my bluesky account (great idea btw), I can say it’s not bad. But in order to be a replacement to TikTok (and I’m hoping it will due to the fact the algorithm will now be controlled by right wing oligarchs that will likely suppress speech and promote others little by little over time), I’ve found that it needs improvement in it’s algorithms (which lacks engagement and doesn’t keep my attention like TikTok’s does), improvements in its interface (it just doesn’t feel or look as good navigating from feature to feature. I don’t like how the screen stays up when going to other features of the app either, something feels off putting about it. Most of my review was negative but that’s only because I’m rooting for this app to succeed but wanted to give constructive criticism. Make no mistake, the app is still great.
