LibreOffice Can Now Import Apple Pages & Numbers Files
While there's been work on supporting Apple Pages and Numbers files within LibreOffice, it seems this import support is finally getting squared away for those forced to having to deal with Apple's proprietary document formats.
Besides the branching of LibreOffice 5.0, the other interesting Git activity for this cross-platform, open-source office suite is that it seems the Apple Pages and Numbers import support is finished off.
David Tardon of Red Hat yesterday landed enable Apple Numbers import and enable Apple Pages import. There's been Apple Pages/Numbers work for LibreOffice previously, but now by the commits, it seems that things should be fully working to import said document formats.
Apple Pages is a proprietary OS X word processor part of their iWork productivity suite. Pages first premiered in early 2015 and continues to be maintained on OS X and iOS. Apple Numbers is the spreadsheet component to the Apple iWork office suite.
