At PCMag, we know products—our experts review and recommend thousands of them. Our deals team works tirelessly to find the lowest prices on the technology you want most.

With Amazon’s Prime Day sales event in full swing, you can now get several robot vacuums with huge discounts, including the Shark AV1010AE IQ with the company’s XL Self-Empty Base for nearly half off.

Shark is one of the top robo vac manufacturers, and its AV1010AE IQ features powerful suction and a multi brush cleaning system to help get dirt and debris up from hard floors and carpet alike. The vacuum also has a built-in, high-efficiency air filter that’s able to capture many allergens like pollen and dander, leaving your home looking and smelling cleaner.

Unlike some lower-end vacuums that simply bump their way around your home sporadically, the Shark AV1010AE IQ utilizes Shark’s IQ Navigation system to carefully map your home and thoroughly clean the entire floor. If the robot’s battery runs low or the dustbin becomes full, the vacuum will return to its docking station to recharge or empty the dustbin before it continues cleaning from the exact spot where it stopped.

Attention needs to be drawn to the vacuum’s ability to empty its own dustbin as this is an ability that few robot vacuums have. Most vacuums will simply stop when they can’t hold any more dirt, or they may continue to try and clean but with poor results. The time-consuming task of cleaning the dustbin then lies with you. Not with the Shark AV1010AE, though. The vacuum’s base station can hold up to 45 days worth of dirt and debris, so you won’t even have to think about your little robot vacuum for several weeks at a time.

Today is the last day of Amazon’s Prime Day sales event, so it’s your last chance to get one of these robot vacuums on sale. Regularly $599.99, you can now get one for just $319.99, which makes it an absolute steal.

About Michael Justin Allen Sexton

Analyst

For as long as I can remember, I've had love of all things tech, spurred on, in part, by a love of gaming. I began working on computers owned by immediate family members and relatives when I was around 10 years old. I've always sought to learn as much as possible about anything PC, leading to a well-rounded grasp on all things tech today. In my role at PCMag, I greatly enjoy the opportunity to share what I know.

I wrote for the well-known tech site Tom's Hardware for three years before I joined PCMag in 2018. In that time, I've reviewed desktops, PC cases, and motherboards as a freelancer, while also producing deals content for the site and its sibling ExtremeTech. Now, as a full-time PCMag analyst, I'm focusing on reviewing processors and graphics cards while dabbling in all other things PC-related.
