OnePlus today announced the date of its next big smartphone reveal. The company has set Feb. 7, 2023, for what it is calling the OnePlus Cloud 11 Launch Event. The event will take place at a yet-to-be-named space in New Delhi, India.

OnePlus says the "Cloud 11" theme "represents the upgraded technology and performance delivered by the brand’s latest products." It also suggests the new products will "elevate the user experience from Cloud 9 to Cloud 11." The jump from Cloud 9 to Cloud 11 seems to discount the existence of the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company's most recent flagship phone.

Skipping over the 10 aside, OnePlus did tell us what devices are on deck for the Feb. 7 event: the OnePlus 11 5G, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, "and more." Interestingly, the "pro" part of the phone's name is missing. Has OnePlus given up on pro branding, or is the OnePlus 11 Pro being reserved for later in 2023? Based on the preview photo shared with today's news, we do know that the phone has a refreshed camera design. It looks like the device will take on a circular glass panel covering the camera module rather than the square-ish one of the OnePlus 10 Pro. About the only spec we can expect for sure is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Everything else inside the device will likely be an incremental update over this year's phone.

It's good to hear that the OnePlus Buds Pro will earn a sequel. While we liked the originals, the app could stand to add an EQ and the tuning could be a little more accurate.

As for the unspecified "and more" part of the announcement, rumors suggest the company could have a tablet in the works to take on the Apple iPad.

OnePlus says more information about the global launch event will follow during the course of the coming weeks.
