This is a basic Messenger bag with zip pouches on the front and a large general open pouch as the main storage. The construction is solid. All stitching is clean. No weird stitches or thread hanging out.
It includes two "drink" pouches inside, one on each side where one side is using solid fabric and one in mesh. They will only hold small water bottles (no larger than maybe 2" in diameter). I can use it for my Laptop 65w power supply.
My first TimBuk2 message bag is over 10 years old now and still going strong, I just wanted a smaller version.
These are just fantastic and built to last for a long time under hard use. And they do that fantastically.

as pleased to see the medium bag has internal sleeves for water bottles. Unfortunately these sleeves are so tight that I can't find any insulated bottles with a small enough diameter (less than 2 3/4 inches) to fit the sleeves. I am hopeful that someone can point one out.

I wanted to give this bag 5 stars. I really did. I bought this to use as a purse - I love the color, I love how well it holds everything I need to carry around on a daily basis, I love that it's waterproof... but I hate the strap. :/

It's been a while since I bought a Timbuk2 messenger bag, and since the last time I did, they changed how the strap attaches to the bag as well as the strap length adjuster - and it's not an improvement. The strap gets twisted so easily, and takes a bit of wrangling to get it to untwist; plus, the length adjuster sometimes loosens up when I flop my bag down, so I have to adjust the strap length every time I put the bag on. It got to the point where I took the strap off and replaced it with a clip-on strap. (It took a little work to get the clips through where the strap attaches to the bag, but I managed it.)

I miss the old strap style from my bigger messenger bag. Otherwise, though? This is a good bag. And who knows, maybe the new strap will work better for others. 🤷‍♀️

Timbuk2 bags were my go-to for years. I haven't purchased a new one in a long time because they were so durable and awesome. I purchased this one and have immediate regret. This is NOT the same quality. There are so many changes!

The actual body of the bag used to be reinforced, like the flap didn't bend and flare, it was shaped and kept it's shape. Now the entire bag is like flexible fabric, it's the exact same as a backpack. There's no reinforcement to the fabric, it bends and flops all over. The pockets on the inside are mostly gone and what's there is reconfigured. There used to be a large full-length zipped pouch along the back (body side) of the bag which is now gone. There's 3 zip pockets under the flap, and they're TINY on such a big bag. And what small pouches do exist on the inside for organizing, I couldn't even put a pack of post-it notes in.

The actual bag section is HUUUUGE, but there's 0 features. It's just a big void of space. There's no way to keep things organized in it. They used to have pockets and straps and all sorts of stuff. Nope. For well over one hundred bucks, I'm super disappointed. If you're nostalgic about Timbuk2 bags, this ain't it. It's got the brand name, and that's about it.

I got this bag in large, and it was no joke... it's very large! There is so much room for a variety of items... my 15" laptop, 4 large books, and couple of smaller books fit inside with ease plus there's still tons of room for even more items! It would be an excellent bookbag for school, a carry-on bag for traveling, or great for a trip to the library.

The inside has a divider... there's a zippered pocket and four pouches. In the larger section of the inside there are two water bottle holders. On the outside of it there are 2 mesh zippered pockets, one double zippered kangaroo pocket, and a pouch. To close the bag there are two adjustable straps with parachute buckles plus Velcro which ensure everything stays inside. The logos on the bag and the shoulder pad are reinforced to be able to have items hung from them... the main strap buckle can have something hung off of it as well.

The main shoulder strap is wonderful... it is easily and quickly adjusted using the buckle. The strap pad makes carrying this bag so comfortable too! I had this bag loaded and it was way heavier than any other bag I normally carry... usually the straps dig and hurt but this one didn't! There is also a pouch on the side of the bag for tucking in the excess length of the strap. The bag is sturdy, but it's made of fabric so unless it's filled with stuff it will fall/fold over when set down. The fabric it's made of is very thick and durable... the inside is a soft plastic lining which makes it waterproof.

I am highly satisfied with this messenger bag... the quality is superior and it's well designed! The craftsmanship is top-notch. I recommend it... it's a great bag with lots of features and details!
