My thoughts initially were that it would break easily considering it was just plastic but it isn't as cheap as you would think. When we went bike riding i made the mother of my niece use this bike and even though it was too big for her the bike could support her well . It even seems to support an average male too without breaking though i wouldn't advise using it.
i only comment on the weight capacity to mention how sturdy this thing is, if you have a large young child i am sure it will support him or her without any issue as well ( but should probably get them to use the bike more hours).
If you don't believe how sturdy this bike is tie a rope to the front of it and to the back of your cars bumper. But please make sure your child wears a helmet specially if you go over 25 mph which is something i wouldn't recommend to do.
One thing i didn't know was that this bike's seat can be lifted and objects and be hidden inside of it. I came across this feature when i was looking for a tv remote control, computer mouse, batteries, screwdivers, and some socks turns out the kid was hiding them in this bike. I caught her one day putting things inside of it and found some of my and other family members items in there which we thought were lost. However i never took away the screwdivers because i have many and she likes to use those to mess up her dads personal items whom i don't really like sometimes.
The bike isn't hard to assemble, wheels take a couple of days to break in , but overall the bike WILL last as long as your child doesn't weigh more than you. If you ever have some stuff missing check this bikes seat compartment because they just might be there
I was looking for my 2-year-olds first ride-on toy when buying this and I HATE that it's so big because she fell in love with it as soon as she saw it and I showed her how to swing her leg over the seat to climb on before realizing that it was way too long to reach. My child is exactly at the size the pediatrician's office says is exactly where she should be, so it's not that she's small for her age.
The seat doesn't sit flat/flush with the gas tank area as expected but this shouldn't be an issue and may even make it easier for my child to grab the seat to lift it up for storing toys inside. It's also worth noting that the handlebars are really really wide, so much that my child was grabbing the crossbar to try to steer because they were so wide.
I've included some pictures with a tape measure for scale. Wish manufacturers would do this so we could find out before buying!

It fits her perfectly (she's 39" btw) to where she'll be able to enjoy this for at least a year if not more.
Also fairly easy to put together, did it in about 30 minutes, and it's really light weight. Beware your toes though cause she went over mine right away, but it gets along quite well on tile and carpet so I'm sure she'll be a speed demon outside.
