Pure bliss! Feels very soft and lightweight on my face. The best part is not having anything pressing on my closed eyelids. When I go to bed there are often distracting bright lights from within our tiny apartment (because others are still awake and watching TV etc), and this mask blocks it out completely. I find myself falling asleep more quickly. This mask will work only if you sleep on your back or side. It will not work if you sleep on your tummy with your face smashed against your pillow (the mask will also get smashed and let light in).
I will make sure to bring this on my next long plane ride, along with my noise-canceling headphones.

This is a side-by-side comparison of three masks:Earth Therapeutics Mind/Body Therapy Sleep Mask, Cotton, SilkBedtime Bliss® Contoured & Comfortable Sleep Mask & Moldex® Ear PlugsPremium Quality Eye Mask with Contoured Shape By NidraI've used the Earth Therapeutics soft mask for five years, and the the Nidra and Bedtime Bliss masks for the last several months. All have their advantages and disadvantages. My favorite is now the Nidra mask, but it has an important flaw.I sleep from after midnight until 8am, and my bedroom is bright. Therefore, I need a mask that will stay on for seven or eight hours. If it shifts when I move during the night, it will not be covering my eyes when the sun comes up.Although I used it for several years, the Earth Therapeutics mask does the worst job of staying in place all night. I think this is because it does not have as much shape or structure as the other two masks. Also, it presses on your eyes, making it a bit less comfortable than the other two masks. I no longer use this mask.The Nidra mask does the best job of staying in place. It is also slightly larger than the Bedtime Bliss mask, and feels a bit more comfortable. However, the Nidra has a flaw: Although they all have the same length band, the elastic on the Nidra band has a bit more tension than the Bedtime Bliss or the Earth Therapeutics masks, which means that it is too tight on my fat head. I have actually had to extend the strap with a piece of dual-sided velcro strap in order to make it comfortable. Now it fits the best and stays in place better than the other two masks.The Nidra mask is about 3/4 inch or 2cm wider across the eyes than the Bedtime Bliss mask. If you have a small or narrow face, you may want to try the Bedtime Bliss mask firstAs far as light blocking and comfort go, both the Nidra and the Bedtime Bliss do a good job. Therefore, my choice is the Nidra because it stays on better after I make the strap longer.Summary: I have stopped using the Earth Therapeutics mask. The Bedtime Bliss and Nidra are very similar, but the Nidra fits me better and stays in place longer. If you have a large head like me, the Nidra mask will be tight. If you have a small or narrow face, try Bedtime Bliss.

Pros:
- Soft material + eye cup is super comfortable, makes it feel like its barely there. Eye lashes don't touch.
- Minimal velcro system is easy to adjust to different sized heads (and for retightening as the elastic invariably ages).
- Nose contour makes it possible to get true blackout (zero light leakage - especially around nose bridge).
- Great for home, travel, and airplanes (this mask + ear plugs + Cabeau neck pillow make resting while traveling much much easier).
Cons:
- Lasts about 9-12 months of daily use before the layers start delaminating and coming apart. It is still quite usable in this state, but looks pretty run down.
- The rough / hook side of velcro is a minor annoyance. Because I have my mask adjusted so that part of the rough velcro is exposed, it can rub against my pillow / etc and make a scratchy noise and sensation. My hack around this, is to cut the velcro off an old eye mask (since I cycle through these) and fill the remaining exposed rough velcro so there is nothing exposed that can rub.

This is the go-to sleep mask in our household. We've tried a number of other ones, but inevitably come back to this "Nidra" one. We have gone through quite a few of them over the last 5-6 years, so have a good idea of lifetime and what to expect from this product (see attached images).
