The first one that I received was difficult to zip and unzip. I thought that was just normal and it would wear loose over time, but then the seam began to split rather quickly after a couple of uses. The company quickly replaced the entire cooler with a brand new one that works much smoother and has had no issues after many many uses. It's a great product that keeps ice frozen all day even in the hot sun

We use it often. You do have to add that Vaseline type stuff to the zipper. It’s very hard to zip if not.
In the picture it looks more like a purse type shape, but it’s a rectangular hard shape. It keeps everything very chilled just with ice packs.

I recently purchased the RTIC Soft Cooler, Ice Chest 30 can for a weekend camping trip with friends, 30 can size so I could pack 5lb bag of ice with it. While the cooler itself is spacious enough to fit all our drinks,snacks, and ice I found it to be too heavy to carry for long distances. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for a smaller size that would have been easier to manage.
The zipper on the cooler is of high quality, but unfortunately, the insulation doesn't keep ice as long as I had hoped. After only a few hours, the ice had already started to melt, and by the end of the day, most of the ice had melted completely.
Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with this purchase, as I was hoping for a cooler that could keep my drinks cold for at least a day. However, I will say that the cooler is well-made and seems to be durable, so it may work better for shorter trips or for those who don't need to keep ice for an extended period.
If you're looking for a cooler that can keep your drinks cold for a long time, I would suggest looking elsewhere. However, if you're in the market for a well-made cooler for shorter trips or outings, the RTIC Soft Cooler may be a good option for you.

The cooler is great and keeps items cold as well as other more expensive ones. The zipper is very difficult to use and I can see how others have had it fail. We are keeping it lubricated and hoping it lasts. The main reason I purchased this is for my husband to carry a few beverages when golfing. Unfortunately, it does not fit in the center of a golf cart where he was planning to have it. Just passing that along in case anyone else had the same idea.

RTIC soft cooler 20 can insulated bag. These are expensive - but worth it. They work very, very well keeping shock packs frozen for over 24 hours. If you want to be sure your cooler is cooling - these are worth it. Maybe a few less dollars than the other brand - starts with a Y. I'm saving to buy larger ones too - Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Bought cooler to take with me since I'm an OTR truck driver. I usually leave for 3 days at a time and it keeps my drinks and food nice and cold. By day 2 the ice melts but it's still exceptionally cold with just the water in the bottom. I also toss in an ice pack that stays pretty solid for the trip. The weight of the bag itself is great too. I've seen in other reviews that the zipper has broke. I will say this, it's a waterproof zipper. The colder has fallen over a few times without leaking at all. On the other hand it takes some force to slide it around. I've applied the zipper lubricant, which looks to be a plain petroleum based jelly, like Vaseline. That does help but still is a little tough. That's my only concern, if it's made to work with the resistance than it shouldn't be an issue down the road. If so I'll be sure to update review. All in all .... I highly recommend this cooler.

Still happy and satisfied. As for the zipper I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you put the supplied grease or Vaseline between your index and thumb and go around the entire zipper at least monthly. If you use it on the daily like I do I would lube it up every other week. Once I got in the habit of lubrication of the zipper it worked effortlessly. I STILL RECOMMEND THE COOLER
