This week I had the opportunity to coach someone on negotiating a substantial increase in their salary for a new position! Key Points: -Always value yourself enough to ask for what you feel you are worth. -Get everything in writing when negotiating terms on a new job offer. -Do your research and make sure you know the salary range for the position you are applying for - this will help you in your negotiations. -If you don't know how to negotiate, invest in a coach that can help you prepare you for that conversation. On average, by using some simple strategy, I have been able to help people gain an $8k-$10k increase from their original offer for a position. When you invest in yourself, you will typically get the outcomes you are seeking!
