How to finance Capex for Climate Tech Startups? 🌍🚀 I had the privilege to participate in an super engaging panel discussion organized by Serena and Planet A Ventures at Viva Technology in Paris. The event brought together industry leaders to explore this topic, and the diversity of approaches was truly captivating. I was fortunate to learn a great deal from esteemed colleagues on the panel. Elise ERBS shared valuable insights into successfully scaling Electra's financing, which I found incredibly inspiring. I was also affirmed that we are on the right track with INERATEC . Additionally, Mathilde Grivet's expertise in navigating deeptech financing in France complemented my know-how about the landscape in Germany. This was eye-opening and provided another valuable perspective. Melissa Cohen, as an investor, offered a unique viewpoint on financing possibilities, and her approach to co-invest with VC companies should be a role model for many others. I left the panel discussion feeling energized from this exchange. It reaffirmed the importance of continuous learning and collaboration within our industry. To build a greener tomorrow, we need to keep this conversation going. This week, the Startup Coalition launched its first edition of the ClimateTech Index which tracked the journey of 1,000 companies. We attended the launch event at the UK House of Lords and noted that: 🗺 South East England is a Unicorn Region, valued at £3.3bn 🔋 Over 24,000 people work for firms in the ClimateTech Index and 28% of them work in the energy sector. 👩💻 11% of companies featuring have a mixed gender founding team, and we’re proud to be one of them!
