This new look further emphasizes our ongoing commitment to building relationships with an ever-growing array of diverse suppliers, as well as certifying agencies and business organizations. Our team is especially grateful for the work of our colleagues at Yellow Shoes and Disney Corporate Creative Resources who developed our new look and feel.

This week, Disney Supplier Diversity hosted 48 Black-owned businesses from the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) at Walt Disney World Resort to experience hands-on, experiential learning opportunities to help stakeholders thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.    We are excited to announce that we have also renewed our investment to RICE for the third consecutive year and have expanded our support to sponsor the development of Digital RICE, a virtual platform that will broaden the nonprofit’s reach to benefit entrepreneurs nationwide. These newest investments bring our total contribution to over $1 million to date, solidifying Disney as the lead sponsor of both RICE initiatives.    Our support of the RICE is just one of the many ways Disney supports small businesses and benefits from an exchange of diverse and innovative perspectives. #RICEatDisney

$40 billion in economic impact in the state of Florida? For #Disney, that's business as usual! Casting a new light on Disney's starring role in Florida over the past 50 years, a new study by Oxford Economics reveals our company's extensive economic impact on the state's economy, tourism and small businesses. We're proud to help connect Disney teams with small businesses that supply products and services, with 2,500 small businesses in Florida and 8,500 nationwide that are contracted by The Walt Disney Company.

Last week, Ralph Sagaille, Director of Supplier Diversity and Sustainability for The Walt Disney Company, led a workshop about sales and business growth for over 100 stakeholders at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) in Atlanta, GA. Ralph shared proven insights and strategies he developed during his career as a sales executive and engaged attendees in discussions to help grow their businesses. As part of Disney’s ongoing support of the RICE Supply Chain Accelerator program, this group of small business owners will be hosted at Walt Disney World this December for an immersive learning experience and collaborative exchange of ideas with Disney leaders. At Disney, we are committed to supporting small businesses and diverse entrepreneurs to grow talent, impact our local economies and help develop the workforce of the future. 

Last week The Walt Disney Company was honored, for the first time, with "Corporation of the Year" for Diverse Business Inclusion from NMSDC. We are proud of the hard work by so many across the company and honored to continue supporting communities through business. Looking forward to continuing this work in the year ahead!
