❌️I was rejected saying I am not fit for the role.. ✅️I proved her wrong.... 👉The most beautiful thing you can wear is Confidence. I owe to that one hiring manager who trusted me and enhanced my confidence.🙏 My journey in the bank started almost 2 decades ago, with the lending team at the call centre where I was always a top performer 📌When I wanted to join retail banking as an advisor at a branch in Toronto East the hiring manager 👉rejected me saying it's easy to perform over the phone where I don't directly deal with customer or handle documents. Since I had no customer facing experience at the bank, never dealt with mortgage documents so I was not fit for the role and not the right candidate. She did not then realise her loss😊 👉She challenged my confidence I took challenge and started applying in core downtown Toronto branches in the financial district where there were more high profile clients to deals with face to face. 📌Another hiring manager in downtown, during interview said she will hire me ONLY because I from the call centre so will bring new experience to the team and also if I am already good performer dealing with customers over the phone I will sure excel when I connect with people face to face.
