🤩 At the beginning of December, our doctoral researchers Clarissa Sabrina Arlinghaus and Lina Mavrina took part in the HAI Conference (Conference on Human-Agent Interaction) in beautiful Gothenburg, where they were able to exchange ideas with other researchers on the topic of human-agent interaction. 💬 ℹ This was the 11th HAI conference dedicated to research on Human-Agent Interaction, including robots, software agents and digitally-mediated human-human communication. The HAI is an interdisciplinary conference that attracts researchers from a wide range of research fields, such as human-robot interaction, affective computing, computer-supported collaborative work, gaming and serious games, artificial intelligence, and more. 👉 The theme of #HAI2023 was "Human Empowerment and Inclusive Society". Each year, we read an industry trend report, predicting that this will be spatial computing’s year. While 2024 is no exception, I'm taking more stock in these predictions. Why? The Computer Science Department’s Colloquium Series features speakers from across the country, and for its latest installment, the department collaborated with GW’s Department of Physics to offer a joint colloquium.
