Sharing is caring on LinkedIn. Especially when it comes to content. But a simple share isn’t going to cut it. You need to add context. Share your two cents. What is your opinion on the piece of content that you are sharing? So how do you find content to share on LinkedIn? Anywhere really. ✅A blog ✅A tweet ✅An article You get the idea. In this clip from my speech at Social Media Day in Wichita, I discuss the value of sharing content on your LinkedIn profile. 👇 Just remember to always credit the original author when applicable. I am seeing to many posts that have nothing to do with business. Question ,is mindless Facebook style links/ content OK on LinkedIn?

I share content on LinkedIn with my own "two cents" added. But I didn't know I needed to add about the 150 words or so. That is helpful to know, Mandy. Thank you.

I've seen a lot of people just share someone else's posts without any context and it seems like they never work. It's probably because of no context. Plus, you can see how many engagements went down compared to what was posted originally. Sharing insights is important and I think we should do it properly as you said. Sharing is caring! I like it! I think it's a nice touch to share a program or event that a friend is hosting. Expect nothing in return, just do it out of the goodness of your heart.

Doesn't need to be perfect all the time, it is just important to get something out there.

So true! One of my best performing posts on LinkedIn was a funny TikTok video about how IKEA was invented. It did well because I added context and made it relevant to the LinkedIn crowd. When you teach business lessons in a lighthearted way, it stands out.

Agreed I usually share the contents of others and credit them for it. Interesting is that sharing content is the main source of my following.
