- Whether you're pursuing a career in photography or design, or you simply want to elevate your image-making skills, this course has been handcrafted just for you. Welcome to the Photoshop Essential Training Course on LinkedIn Learning, where technical mastery meets artistic creativity. I'm Julieanne Kost, and I've been working on the Adobe Photoshop team for over 25 years, and I am thrilled to be your instructor. We'll start with the essentials, from opening and navigating images to customizing the interface in order to create a seamless workflow. We'll explore digital imaging essentials, including bit depth and color space and file formats. Together we'll explore Adobe Camera Raw, mastering color and tone and contrast enhancements. But that's just the beginning. Next, we'll dive into the heart of Photoshop with layers, selections, and masking. From Smart Objects to nondestructive adjustment layers, we'll discover essential techniques to help you create the images that you envision. We'll work with the pen tool, as well as type and shape layers. We'll even venture into libraries and artboards and animations. This course is your stepping stone to unlocking new creative opportunities, and I look forward to guiding you through practical exercises to cement your skills. So let's get started.
