Employee experience

- The relationship between employees and employers has shifted. The shift in the relationship is centered on the evolution of employee expectations. Some of these expectations include meaningful work, development, inclusion, and flexibility. At the core, these expectations are grounded in humanizing worker experience across the continuum of the employee lifecycle. You, as a forward-looking leader, need to prioritize the dynamism of the shift and solve for these expectations. A recent Forbes CxO Growth Survey emphasizes the importance of re-imagining employee experience. It revealed that 70% of CHROs believe better employee experience means a better bottom line. So what do organizations that win on experience do differently? They create a blend of experiences that demonstrate a commitment to the whole employee and are focused on enabling employees to thrive. There are two areas of employee experience that consistently show up across generations that rank within the top five preferred experiences. They are work-life balance and well-being. They even rank higher than compensation as the most important factors in finding a new job. according to a recent Muse Survey. Listen, HR leaders get why these are so important to employees, and moreover, they respect the impact that both can have on recruitment, engagement, and retention. It's the execution that can be challenging. Personalization is key, and the one-size-fits-all approach to employee experience no longer delivers high levels of relevancy or value for employees.
