Job Description

Supports and works under the direction of the Director of Purchasing/Contracting to create a comprehensive contract management program in efforts to centralize organizational vendor contracts and integrate all contract data into the ERP contract platforms.

Serves as subject-matter expert on all facets of contract management-specific processes; provides the expertise necessary to guide vendors and departments on contracting policies.

Works closely with GPO, strategic sourcing(Category Management/Value Analysis), data integrity(Supply Chain IS), and departmental managers to gather all related contract documents and financial analyses if applicable to enrich the contract master data in support of the ERP(Oracle) and Contract Repository(Legal Files).

Uploads contract documentation into appropriate database and ensures that price file updates are reflected in the ERP system.

Maintains and updates all contract database sources including McLeod’s homegrown Contract Management System, Contract repository(Legal Files), GHX CCX(Contract Center), ERP contract modules.

Supports Purchasing Team as a liaison between McLeod, GPO and Vendor to resolve contract discrepancies.

Manages all GPO related tasks including: Contract Activation, Tier Optimization, Opportunity Assessment, and Contract Management.

Serves as the point of contact for all supply chain contract related activities and works to continuously streamline processes and communication.

Collect and organize data to analyze procurement activity in order to determine methods of improving service and lowering cost.

Determine non-labor impact of supply utilization on medical community.

Communicate with suppliers on performance and service issues; resolve problems with vendors that affect service levels provided to the hospital.

Establish measurement tools to benchmark contract and vendor performance.

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly

Qualifications/Training:

Three to five years of purchasing/procurement or related experience.

  • Three to five years of Purchasing/Procurement or related experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma manufacturing concepts is preferred.
  • Experience in procurement in progressively responsible positions in a highly regulated/analytical environment is a plus


Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or related field is required; or a combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge & skill required to perform the job duties.
