Student Conduct Assistant
Position Information
The Student Conduct Assistant provides independent, proactive, high-quality, flexible, and reliable administrative support to Student Conduct and Academic Integrity Programs (SCAIP). The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and/or assisting with a variety of student conduct-related administrative tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing primary reception functions including response to walk-ins, calls, and departmental emails, providing accurate and courteous responses to UCR students, visitors, and staff inquiries; facilitating departmental purchasing needs; processing new incident reports and completing other administrative tasks within a student conduct database. Assisting with scheduling for all types of student conduct hearings. The incumbent must maintain the highest level of confidentiality, tact, and decisiveness while working under the pressure of constantly changing priorities, unanticipated urgent demands, and multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines. Provides administrative support to the Director and the Administrative Specialist and assists with day-to-day operations in their absence. Provides backup support to departments within the Division. Please Note: This career position concludes 1 year from the date of hire with the possibility of extension based on available funding. The salary range for the Student Conduct Assistant is $23.60 to $33.45 an hour. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $24.68 an hour. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California Vaccination Program Policy.

- Skill in communicating effectively and professionally using tact and diplomacy in an environment focused on customer service.
- Knowledge of the applicable UC Policies and Procedures governing areas related to the responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to perform tasks diligently and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Skills to independently draft letters, memos & spreadsheets, via Microsoft Office, using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition, text editing, and proofreading skills.
