Software Developer

Position Title: Software Developer
Location: Phoenix AZ [Onsite]
Expected Duration of Project: 12+ month
 
Position Description  
1. Interacts in a team setting with co-workers including other programmers, database administrators and business analysts.
2. Develops software modules of high complexity and scope while adhering to documented development standards.
3. Works independently to develop solutions for complex business and technical problems.
4. Supports deployment of applications into production and maintain after release.
5. Coordinates with other team members to brainstorm and create new processes for the Judicial Branch to use in day-to-day operations.
6. Focuses continually on developing business knowledge and product/feature expertise.
7. Utilizes source control to label, package, and deploy applications utilizing best practices procedures/techniques.
8. Follows industry practices of analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance/production support of custom applications software.
9. Tests developed applications for accuracy, efficiency, and stability.
10. Coordinates with other team members to assist on a variety of other development needs and practices.
11. Mentors and trains less experienced staff members.
12. Assists on customer support issues resolving any application issues and/or errors.
 
Skills Required             
1. Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving.
2. Structured source control using Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
3. Angular, JQuery and JavaScript
4. Design patterns and OOPS.
5. Agile process.
6. Microsoft .net and     .
7. Database performance evaluation and data forensics.
 
Skills Preferred            
1. Relational database design, stored procedure creation, and query building using SQL Server
2. Page layout using HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap
3. C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web Forms, and ASP.NET Core
4. VBScript and (classic) ASP
5. Angular 2/TypeScript
6. Microsoft IIS 7/10, Self-Hosted server
7. Architecture principles, OOPS, Unit testing and Test-Driven Development  

Experience Preferred 
1. Experience in managing small teams.
2. Experience in UI design.
3. Experience working with CSS and HTML.
4. Web developer experience in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
 
Education Required     HS Diploma/ GED Equivalency associate degree.         
Education Preferred    Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business or Criminal Justice related field.
