Senior Vice President – Property Management
A newly created Senior Vice President of Property Management role has arisen with a rapidly growing residential and commercial real estate firm in New York. Partnering closely with the Executive Vice President – Property Management & CEO, this business-critical role will form an integral part of the senior leadership team and will be instrumental in driving profitability within their portfolio. Furthermore, the position is based in brand new offices within a Class A building in the heart of Manhattan.
About the Senior Vice President – Property Management role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximizing Portfolio Profitability: Lead efforts to maximize the profitability of the property portfolio in alignment with business plans
- Business Plan Implementation: Ensure the implementation of business plans related to property management operations
- Budget Management: Assure that property expenditures are within budget and properly approved
- Reporting System: Develop, refine, and review reporting systems to monitor and report on property performance
- Team Development: Train and develop the Corporate and Onsite Management Executive team
- Board Meetings: Attend monthly and annual board meetings, maintaining communication with board members
- Capital Improvement Projects: Identify, discuss, plan, and negotiate with vendors to complete necessary capital improvement projects for the properties
- Accountability: Take accountability for all business, financial, and management aspects of the assigned portfolio; this includes preparing, implementing, and adhering to an approved strategic plan and budget, as well as maintaining strong working relationships with board members
- Revenue Maximization: Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue for each property
Key Requirements:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in any business-related field is required
- Experience: A minimum of 15+ years of experience in New York City residential condominium and cooperative property management is preferred but not essential
- Financial Knowledge: Knowledge and experience in financial accounting within residential real estate, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Project Management: Hands-on experience with capital improvement construction projects, including the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects; the ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints is essential
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, for data analysis and communication
Compensation: $200,000 - $240,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits
