In this role, you'll leverage cutting-edge molecular biology techniques to investigate drug resistance mechanisms, playing a pivotal role in shaping the scientific direction of our company.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Spearheading innovative CRISPR-based chemogenetic screens to uncover drug response and resistance mechanisms
- Engineering cell lines to express novel proteins and conducting proteomic assays
- Conducting affinity purification assays and overseeing off-site proteomic analysis
- Designing unique in situ reporter assays to evaluate cellular responses to perturbagens
- Collaborating with computational team members to analyze and model experimental data
- Developing and implementing experimental strategies to understand cellular evolution under anti-cancer treatments
- Managing vendors and external contractors to ensure project goals are met
- Presenting research findings at top conferences and in leading journals
- A PhD in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field
- Experience with end-to-end CRISPR screening protocols and cell engineering techniques
- Strong background in designing and executing independent research experiments
- Passion for innovative and rigorous scientific inquiry
- Familiarity with protein-protein interaction mapping techniques is a plus
- Previous experience with in vivo animal work and flow cytometry is advantageous
- Ability to work in our New York City lab facilities
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $140,000
- Equity participation: 0.3% - 0.6%
