About The Role
As a Senior Manager of Accounting, you'll lead our General Ledger team (currently a team of 3). You'll own the completeness and accuracy of our general ledger, prepare the external financial statements provided to our investors, and drive process improvements across the accounting organization. This role will report into the Controller.

About The Role
As a Senior Manager of Accounting, you'll lead our General Ledger team (currently a team of 3). You'll own the completeness and accuracy of our general ledger, prepare the external financial statements provided to our investors, and drive process improvements across the accounting organization. This role will report into the Controller.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead and provide guidance to the general ledger team regarding the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process
- Prepare AICPA financial statements
- Improve, develop, and implement accounting and finance related policies and procedures as the company scales
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements, statutory financial statements, and assist in tax filings
- Oversee and manage Accounts Receivable
- Support and assist with internal reports and reconciliations
- Manage the external auditors and other professional service providers as needed
- Support finance to understand the monthly financial results and variance vs. plan
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- 4 years of experience in audit, preferably in Big-6 public accounting firms
- 3 years of experience in accounting, in either public company or venture-backed high growth companies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team
- Prior experience with NetSuite implementation is preferred
- Prior experience in physical good or logistics business is preferred
- Experience of change management and leading transformation projects in Accounting/Finance; mindset of continuous improvement;
- Well-organized, detailed oriented, can prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong understanding of accounting best practices with the ability to build scalable processes in an early stage, evolving company
- Previous demonstration of using data-driven problem-solving skills to solve challenges and implement solutions
- Team player, strong communication and interpersonal skills; know how to empower and grow the team
- High emotional intelligence, ability to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside of finance
- Passionate and persistent about operational excellence
