Job Title: Senior Director, Procurement

Location: Illinois – Office Based 3-4 days per week

Salary: Up to $270,000 + Bonus + LTI’s

Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a lead organization in the US who are seeking a Senior Director Procurement. As the Senior Director, Procurement you will be overseeing Technology and Marketing spend categories. You will lead strategy development, change management, and team direction to optimize procurement practices and drive efficiencies. Reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will manage approximately $2 billion in company resources.

Responsibilities:

• Develop collaborative business plans with strategic vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal pricing and terms.
• Direct planning processes for sourcing solutions and distribution channels, applying analytics to drive cost savings and supply chain efficiency.
• Establish inventory metrics and logistical solutions for enterprise-wide deployment of indirect goods.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement complex business strategies, collaborating with various departments to drive sourcing initiatives.
• Manage budgetary cost reduction programs and complex negotiations with key suppliers.
• Develop policies and procedures to maintain sufficient inventory levels and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Support talent development and training initiatives for procurement staff and cross-functional teams.
• Provide leadership to business units, consulting on procurement activities impact on projects, budgets, and corporate strategies.
• Conduct industry research and financial analytics to inform company direction and pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership for resource allocation and enterprise-wide sourcing plans.

Basic Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working within a high product SKU environment (retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers or similar).
• Experience managing category spend exceeding $1 billion across multiple categories.
• Proficiency in procurement best practices and strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with senior-level executives.
• Experience leading teams of 15+ whilst managing managers of managers.
• Extensive procurement experience across technology covering hardware, software, IT services and more
