Senior Accountant

Mint Cannabis, a fully licensed multi-state cannabis operator, is seeking a full time Senior Accountant.

The individual in this role will perform the daily, weekly, and monthly coding of business transactions, as

well as directly prepare month end close. This individual should recommend ways to improve internal

accounting processes that align with both internal efficiencies and reporting needs of the C-Suite,

lenders, and investors.

The individual in this role is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely recording of general ledger

activity including preparation of journal entries, review of P&L for unusual fluctuations, and preparation

of month end close supporting schedules. The Senior Accountant should be able to identify and correct

general errors/oversights in the monthly reporting without substantial assistance.

General Duties:

  • Preparation of Daily Cash Entries and Bank Reconciliations
  • Complete month end close and all related journal entries
  • Review accounts payable aging and ensure records are up to date
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Reconcile intercompany balances
  • Maintenance of Month End supporting schedules
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is desired, but strong corporate experience will be

considered in lieu of a degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of general ledger and month end close or related experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-entity organization with substantial intercompany

transactions

  • Must be proficient in Excel, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online
  • Prior cannabis industry experience preferred

Location Requirements: This is not a remote position; candidate must be willing and able to work in-

person at our Tempe location
