The Sr. Copywriter will be responsible for developing best-in-class creative and branded marketing communications. This position reports into the Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly leverage our brand voice and Global Brand Strategy to build trust and affinity with Card Members and prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal business marketing partners and inter-agency team to understand consumer needs and the holistic customer journey.
  • Lead, develop, and own copy strategy and creative oversight for high-priority American Express initiatives across mediums, leading a working team of copywriters.
  • Concept and lead integrated, breakthrough creative campaigns.
  • Oversee execution of all copywriting initiatives across formats and deliverables.
  • Support Creative Directors with developing concepts, strategies, and client presentations.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead all copywriting resources within team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in creative writing, English, or related humanities or liberal arts field.
  • 8+ years of copywriting experience at a leading creative agency or in-house brand.
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing a team, leading creative oversight for complex marketing campaigns.
  • Award-winning portfolio that includes holistic campaign creation and implementation across digital, traditional, and experiential mediums.
  • Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and lead creative team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with a Project Management tool (e.g., Workfront).
  • Working knowledge of AP Style.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
