The Senior Condo Project Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting the retail operations team with project documentation review results related to the various condominium, co-operative, Leasehold and manufactured project types. The project review specialist will be direct support to Sales, processing, underwriting and closing with project related questions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project documentation review and determine project eligibility based on secondary investor and Northpointe Portfolio guidelines.
  • Underwrite project insurance (Property, Fidelity, Flood) as it relates to the requirement for secondary marketing.
  • Perform project legal documentation review for eligibility to the secondary market.
  • Perform Financial Statement analysis (budget, reserves study, audited financials, etc)
  • FNMA CPM and CVAS PEW submissions when applicable
  • FHLMC Condo Project Advisor submissions when applicable
  • Determine project eligibility to Northpointe investors.
  • Underwrite projects to FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC and Non-QM investor guidelines.
  • Maintain Northpointe Condo project manager with all projects that have been approved and or denied.
  • Communicate with operations and sales staff with items needed to complete the project review and or approval or denial.
  • Reviews post-closing files deemed to be deficient through QC or other investor audits consistent with approved process.
  • Review leasehold required documentation to secondary investor guidelines.
  • Review manufactured home documentation to ensure property documentation is gathered and meets the required investor guidelines.
  • Review Co-ops to investor guidelines and determine eligibility.
  • Maintain customer confidence by providing ongoing quality service and keeping all files and information confidential.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with internal policies and procedures. Understand and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations affecting our institution.
  • Maintain continued knowledge with all project review types by taking continuing ed class as offered and staying up to date with all secondary market project updates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. – minimum of five (5+) years of underwriting Condominium, Co-op, leasehold and manufactured projects.
  • Proficient in FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA and FHLMC project guidelines.
  • Experience with underwriting condominiums, Co-Ops, Leaseholds and Manufactured homes.
  • Proficient with FNMA CPM and FHLMC Condo Project Advisor
  • Proficient with FHA Single-Loan Condo Approval Process
  • Ability to independently analyze and critically review data.
  • Requires advance knowledge project documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of audit procedures, legal and regulatory requirements
  • Must possess advanced analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, any other mortgage/banking software, etc.).
  • Professional demeanor and interaction with all customers (internal and external).
  • Effective interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail while handling a high volume of work with multiple interruptions.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
