Job Description

We are looking for a highly proficient SAP ME Support Specialist 3 to join our team, bringing extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, nomenclature, and tools for discrete industries. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive knowledge of SAP ME solution capabilities, conducting gap analyses of requirements, troubleshooting connectivity and integration issues, configuring SAP ME API actions, and managing incidents and messages with SAP maintenance/support. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in correcting coding and configuration defects found during testing, documenting functionalities, and updating documentation related to SAP ME configurations and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Processes Expertise:
• Utilize deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, nomenclature, and tools specific to discrete industries.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand industry-specific requirements.
• Solution Capabilities and Gap Analysis:
• Provide in-depth knowledge of SAP ME solution capabilities.
• Conduct gap analyses of business requirements to identify areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot Connectivity/Integration Issues:
• Identify and troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues within SAP ME.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
• Configure SAP ME API Actions:
• Configure SAP ME API actions within transactions, if applicable.
• Ensure seamless integration and functionality of SAP ME API actions.
• Incident Logging and Communication:
• Log and manage incidents related to SAP ME.
• Communicate effectively with SAP maintenance/support teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Correct Coding and Configuration Defects:
• Identify and correct coding and configuration defects found during testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Document Functionalities Built/Updated:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of functionalities built or updated.
• Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible for reference and training purposes.
• Update Documentation of SAP ME Configurations/Solution:
• Regularly update documentation related to SAP ME configurations and solutions.
• Capture changes and improvements to maintain an accurate reference.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as an SAP ME Support Specialist or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, nomenclature, and tools for discrete industries.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting connectivity and integration issues.
• Experience configuring SAP ME API actions within transactions, if applicable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to correct coding and configuration defects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
