Regional Sales Manager, Eastern United States - Remote | WFH

Position: Eastern United States Regional Sales Manager (Remote)

Location: Remote (Eastern half of the US); up to 35% travel required

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager with a deep understanding of natural foods to join our expanding team at our company. In this role, you will cultivate strong relationships with both new and existing retail partners in the eastern US, driving substantial distribution growth. Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of key regional to national accounts primarily within the grocery sector, in both natural and conventional spaces.

Collaborate closely with brokers, distributors, and external partners to develop tailored strategies for each account.

Lead and motivate a team of brokers to ensure optimal execution, focusing on product placement and merchandising.

Develop and execute strategies for trade promotions and customer spending on a per-account basis.

Utilize syndicated data and analytics to identify growth opportunities and drive sales with customers.

Foster collaboration within the sales team and across the organization, sharing best practices and ensuring alignment on messaging and execution.

Qualifications

Reside in the Eastern half of the US (Chicago east) with willingness to travel up to 35%.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.

8-10+ years of sales experience in building or growing natural food brands, preferably organic.

Experience managing brokers and working with natural/organic food distributors, such as UNFI and KeHe.

Genuine passion for better-for-you, consciously raised, and produced food.

Experience in natural or organic dairy is advantageous; American Cheese Society certification is a plus.

Proficiency in creating and delivering customer presentations, driving new distribution, and optimizing promotional activities.

Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, understanding business needs, developing cohesive strategies, and making high-level judgments.

Natural collaborator and team builder, willing to assist colleagues as needed.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
