The Account Executive for Renewal Sales, specializing in working capital, plays a crucial role in the Renewals Department, focusing on comprehensive account management, cross-selling opportunities, and nurturing strong merchant relationships. This role collaborates with various business divisions and senior management to expand account penetration, foster revenue growth, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation: Develop and expand revenue within a defined region or designated accounts, specifically in the area of working capital.
  • Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and negotiating contracts to closing renewal business with existing customers.
  • **Strategic Recommendations: Offer tailored recommendations based on customers' business requirements and usage patterns.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the customer's advocate by gathering feedback to qualify leads, identify new business opportunities, and negotiate and finalize deals. Utilize both new and existing relationships to create strategic business strategies.
  • Inbound Customer Support: Respond to inbound customer inquiries and escalate billing, legal, security, and technical issues to the appropriate channels.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Underwriting, Leadership, and other departments to develop strategic financial plans for customers.
  • Product Value Communication: Educate customers on the benefits of working capital and effectively convey its value.
  • Trusted Relationships: Foster mutually beneficial sales relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage sales pipelines by adhering to a structured sales process.
  • Transparent Reporting: Accurately report deal status to internal management, including senior leadership, while providing realistic timelines and addressing potential challenges.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in sales, account management, or related experience in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the working capital, finance, or merchant services sector is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a knack for identifying client needs and closing deals effectively.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to provide actionable insights based on customer data.
