Duties
With oversight from Landscape Architects, the Director of Landscape and the VP of Development and Services you would assist in directing daily activities for multiple landscape construction crews over multiple job sites. Assist with establishing task priorities, managing crew hours, scheduling, and tracking work assignments, provide guidance and confirm the availability of resources.
Regularly communicate with managers, Landscape Architects, subcontractors, and clients, including reporting on progress as well as problems and solutions.
Assist in the coordination of all phases of landscape construction activities to meet or exceed client expectations and project and company profitability goals.
Utilize Sea Island Standards of landscape design for job site installation oversight as well as for providing plans for implementation.
Assist in creating and managing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all contracted work.
Responsible for submitting accurate and timely paperwork, time records, work orders, change orders, reports and other documents that are required.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.
Provide safety training and oversight to landscape foreman.
Minimum Requirements
A degree in landscape architecture or horticulture preferred.
Minimum 2 (two) years’ experience in landscape construction.
Must be familiar with site implementation including plant material, irrigation, storm sewer, hardscapes, pools/water features, grading, site lighting, underground utilities, etc.
Detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiar with operation of site construction equipment and machinery
Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of landscape properties
The ability to become familiar with regulatory codes, OSHA and AIA/ASLA/DNR guideline codes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
