KOMAN Holdings is looking for a career minded Payroll Specialist with federal contracting experience to join our team!!

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Process accurate payroll records:
    • by ensuring all adjustments on pay rates and employee status changes are entered,
    • calculating accurate amounts for fringe benefits, overtime, leaves, other deductions (i.e. 401K, garnishments etc.)
    • verify information received from the field to ensure accuracy
  • Compile certified payroll reports
  • Researches and resolves payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
  • File monthly, quarterly, annual taxes & reports
  • Assist with annual accounting audit
  • Answer and manage incoming phone and email inquiries
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • 3-5 years of Construction payroll and certified payroll experience preferred.
  • Experience in Vista Viewpoint and/or JAMIS.
  • Must have excellent proficiency on spreadsheet and word processing applications, i.e. Word and Excel.
  • Possess a good understanding of accounting principles and GL entries as it pertains to payroll.
  • Knowledge of all federal and state laws concerning payroll, overtime, and taxes.
