Your tasks

As a Passenger Information Systems Engineer, you will be a viable member of a team focused on various passenger information, communication, and software engineering activities in all project phases from the concept/design through to the commissioning, validation, and warranty phase.

Key Activities

  • System integration of communication and information systems in Stadler vehicles taking into account the requirements of the customer, standards, and law
  • Preparation of engineering / production documents such as technical specifications, electrical diagrams, and system drawings
  • Support of Stadler production, commissioning and type tests
  • Responsible for the control of specification-conform implementation on the part of the system supplier with regard to hardware, software and ordered services
  • Supervision and participation in software tests of the suppliers as well as ensuring the delivery in accordance with contract and schedule
  • Collaboration with customers, suppliers and approval bodies in an international environment
  • Technical addition to the specialist group in the areas of software architecture, communication technology, industrial electronics development or testing
  • Further development of project-independent and market-driven solution modules in in cooperation with the electrical engineering, design and product management

Interdisciplinary coordination with other departments such as electrical and software engineering, installation planning, purchasing, fire protection or approval

Qualifications

Your profile Qualifications

  • Completed university degree in electrical, software engineering or information technology or comparable experience-based knowledge
  • Experience in project management is advantageous
  • 3-6 years of experience in the field of networked communication systems in the transport sector or in the development of industrial electronics
  • High technical affinity and interest to deal with different technologies and IT systems
  • Very good communicator to people with different technical backgrounds, inside and outside the company, on all levels
  • Strong team spirit
  • Able to be flexible with travel and work hours
