Operations Manager

Sunbound is seeking an Operations Manager to manage our payment operations, customer support and support onboarding new customers. This is an early operations role at Sunbound, and will carry a lot of opportunities to work closely with the founders and help shape the direction of the team. Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of payments, love working directly with customers and end-users and be comfortable jumping into payment and billing data to support invoicing and payment processes.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead a team of 2-4 customer operations associates
• Efficiently execute and oversee processes and operations related to payments product line including monthly invoicing and collections processes
• Manage day-to-day customer support
• Design and revise documentation to set the team up for success
• Contribute to new process definition and improvement of existing processes
• Help shape the operations team as it grows over time

We’re early-stage, so you’ll also likely be doing the hands-on work with your team...

• Support a portfolio of 5-10 customer onboardings per month
• Answer the support line and help customers over the phone and via email

Qualifications

• 4+ years work experience
• Experience working in an early stage startup
• Experience in customer support, ideally leading a team
• FinTech or Payments experience required
• Strong project management and organizational skills: good attention to detail with excellent work product, time management, and execution
• Proficiency using Excel, SQL and common software startup tools (e.g. Hubspot, Zendesk, etc.)

This is a hybrid role based in Washington D.C. but can be remote for the right candidate.
