Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Take initiative on projects to over-deliver new and innovative solutions.
  • Create motion templates for easy use by other team members and client teams.
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors and other Department Heads on how to best support larger media goals.
  • A never-ending desire to learn new techniques and technology to advance your craft.
  • Provide creative vision to the editing process, bringing your own style to create beautifully composed work.
  • Take an initial concept to the next level with motion graphics and animations, including 2D and 3D animations.
  • Assist in live event and studio production, including setting a stage, lighting a set, and shooting footage w/video or still camera.
  • Proven skill and experience with sound editing and mixing.
  • Experienced in carrying out campaigns and has an advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across digital channels and audiences.
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts that achieve company goals.
  • Understanding and proper use of graphic design concepts such as composition, layout, typography, image, color theory, timing, etc.
  • Maintaining a level of creative professional expertise that satisfies the needs of the business.
  • Ability to demonstrate new ideas through rough drafts or storyboards.
  • Time management skills enough for meeting deadlines and efficiently managing projects.
  • Expertise of current and emerging animation technologies, applications/plugins, and how to best apply them to creative tasks.
  • Operation and oversight of content encoding and uploading for content used within our internal CMS (Carbon).
  • Ability to communicate technical/graphic-related specifications to other employees, suppliers and other third parties.

Education/Experience

Experience with 3D Software and additional Animating and Video Editing Plugins, Experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects required.

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design, Video Editing, Animation, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Language Ability

Must have good reading, writing, and speaking skills to effectively communicate with studios, managers, and co-workers.

Math Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to develop and interpret charts.

Reasoning Ability

Perform under pressure and/or opposition at times relying on your own independent judgment and knowledge to decide the best directions and solutions. While representing the company, the marketing coordinator will be required to determine answers to questions and situations which may be socially or politically volatile. Execution and communication of such solutions are often in the public eye.

Computer Skills

Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Software, Social Media Knowledge, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, database software

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but can work closely with the Jr. Animator/Video Editor to task out work to complete projects.
