The M&A Analyst will support the origination, structuring, negotiation and execution of acquisitions, and investments for Cardone Ventures. In this role, the M&A Analyst will work with the FP&A and Partnership team to support potential acquisition and investment opportunities

OBJECTIVES
Develop detailed financial models for M&A transactions
Participate in all aspects of due diligence activities for additional context on active deals
Assist with the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for the executive team
Conduct research and analysis to screen and qualify potential M&A opportunities
Assist with the development of broader strategic initiatives and investment strategies
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and Ad Hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards
Normalize and develop financial systems to increase efficiency in reporting
Aggregate past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
Provide financial evaluation of opportunities
COMPETENCIES
Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
Ability to gather and skillfully analyze financial data and identify the information needed to solve a problem effectively
Strong understanding of financial models, budgets and financial reporting packages
Demonstrated ability and experience developing and managing complex financial models
Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships across the organization
Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence
Ability to work with project management software (e.g.,Asana) and G-Suite (Slides and Docs)
Ability to identify inefficiencies in financial reporting and propose a potential solution
Strong understanding of how to perform variance analysis
Strong aptitude for interpreting financial statements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
2-4+ years of M&A in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, corporate finance, or management consulting experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
