Salary Range: $100k - 125k

Full Time / Direct Hire

100% onsite in Warren, MI

We are hiring a Material Manager for our client's Materials Department. This full-time, direct hire position entails overseeing incoming raw materials in soft metals (aluminum, titanium, and more), shipping finished goods, and managing inventory, purchasing, and outside processing efficiently. Our client delivers engineering solutions within the Aerospace and Defense sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Own material management processes for on-time delivery of high-quality products.
• Identify and engage with outside suppliers, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assess and forecast material availability based on customer releases and program information.
• Develop / maintain contracts with suppliers, while negotiating & resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee production planning, inventory control, shipping, and storage.
• Establish procedures and manage execution of year-end physical inventory.
• Will have multi- department direct reports (Purchasing, Shipping / Receiving, Warehouse)

Requirements:

• 10 + years of experience in production purchasing and materials management.
• 5 + years in a leadership role with responsibility for leading people.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field required, OR equivalent experience, in addition to the minimum years of experience required.
• Proven ability to hire and develop top-tier talent.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Tools: ERP & Microsoft Office Suites
