Managing Director - Investment Banking

Our client is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Managing Director to join their team and lead the build-out of a new location. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for originating, leading, and executing a wide range of transactions. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

To be considered for this role, you must have the ability to come in the role and generate revenue quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Originate and develop new client relationships across diverse industries.
• Lead deal teams on M&A advisory, capital markets transactions (debt and equity offerings), and financial restructuring engagements.
• Manage all aspects of the deal process, from initial client pitch to transaction closing.
• Develop and present compelling pitches to win new business.
• Oversee deal execution, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
• Manage junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship for professional development.
• Stay abreast of current market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in investment banking, with a proven track record of originating and executing complex transactions.
• Strong understanding of M&A, capital markets, and financial restructuring processes.
• Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Comfortable with traveling, when necessary.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and manage strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Deep understanding of relevant industry dynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent business judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
