Manager, Information Systems & Technology

The Manager of Information Systems & Technology is responsible for coordinating complex technology systems, facilitating development and maintenance of internal and external facing applications, and directing IT projects to meet business objectives, operational goals, and key business priorities. The Manager will create and maintain technology roadmaps, integration strategies, internal procedures, documentation, budgets, and policies related to information technology systems. The Manager will also work with IT Team Members across the collaborative, vendors, and stakeholders to oversee various applications, systems, and projects. The Manager of Information Systems & Technology facilitates project management and governance, administers project management tools, carries out application testing and quality assurance as needed, provides technical support, and performs related duties as assigned.

  • Directly oversee and manage the daily operations of the Information Systems & Technology Team, which includes roles employed by partner organizations.
  • Develop effective working relationships with various levels of operations associates and IS management associates to assist in rapid identification and resolution of issues affecting associates and clinical teams across collaborative.
  • Lead the development and maturation of IT policies and procedures which define the information security program.
  • Lead annual IS planning and budgeting, as well as the ongoing review of resource allocation and spending to ensure adherence to budget and overall IS department goals.
  • Manage IT-related projects by establishing budget, timelines, goals, and milestones.
  • Manage existing IT vendor relationships and the selection of new IT vendors.
  • Work to enable integration across technology platforms (when appropriate).
  • Manage and continue to mature the workflow processes and security controls in place within the organizational Microsoft Office365 environment.
  • Oversee the information security program and its supporting systems, including aspects of HIPAA compliance.
  • Participates in selected leadership and clinical meetings to provide and receive input and provide information about technology initiatives.
  • Complete other internal projects as assigned.

Travel Required

  • Local travel to healthcare organizations - safety net hospitals, health systems and Federally Qualified Health Centers — on the South Side of Chicago required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field required.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in IT management required.
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in related healthcare environments or technology required.
  • Project management experience to include project analysis or leadership required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work successfully with diverse cross-functional teams in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology as the need arises using background experience in conjunction with internal/external resources.
  • Ability to act in an autonomous, self-directed manner.
  • Ability to receive multiple stimuli from multiple sources simultaneously.
