Laborer

Kansas City Composting, a sister company of St Louis Composting, producer of STA-Certified Compost, Mulch Products and Soil Blends, is looking for a full-time Laborer to work at its locations in Belton, MO and Lee's Summit, MO.

Job Requirements

• Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week
• Must be willing to work on Saturdays and Sundays
• Must be willing to work hours between 8 and 10 hours shifts on scheduled days
• Must be able to report to work site no later than 6:45am for each scheduled workday without any problems
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess a current valid drivers license in good standing.
• Must be able to successfully pass an extensive drug screening (includes urine, hair and breath alcohol).
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background screening.
• Must have the ability to use hand tools safety
• Must have the ability to operate a skid steer
• Must be able to successfully perform the physical aspects of the position, including, but not limited to: lifting up to 50lbs without assistance, remaining on your feet for a large portion of the day, stepping on and off the back of a truck for entire shifts at a time, sitting and/or standing for long periods of time, being able to work in outdoor conditions for the entire day in varying weather.
• Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours during the week including after dark hours, and/or weekends, and holidays as dictated by operations. Working Saturdays is frequent and common.
• Must be a strong team player willing to help out wherever necessary and have a "can do" attitude.
• Must have a strong work ethic and be able to remain busy the entire day, looking for new tasks or where else to help when your tasks are completed.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Prior landscape laboring experience
• Basic mechanical skills
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment
