Our client is an asset management firm. They seek a Human Resources Assistant to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing paperwork and conducting orientations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases
- Complete benefits administration tasks, such as enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Support performance management by tracking performance evaluations and providing assistance to managers
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by implementing HR policies and procedures
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing and organizing documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- 1+ years of HR administrative experience
- Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
