General Summary

State Representative Dean Black is now accepting applications in his Jacksonville, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.

• Designated Tallahassee Travel Staff during Committee Weeks and Session
  
  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
• Calendar and Scheduling
• Constituent Management
• Legislative Research
• Legislative Process
• Public Relations and Press Releases
• Stakeholder Relations
• Designated Tallahassee Staff during Committee Weeks and Session and Travel System
• Mandatory Trainings as Assigned
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience.

Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Salary

Annual Salary: $45,000

Excellent employee benefits.

This position is not eligible for remote work.
