Job Title: Home Builder Representative

Job Description:

As a Home Builder Representative at Angelus Block, your primary objective will be to promote and secure specifications for our high-quality concrete masonry units (CMU) in residential construction projects. Specifically, you will focus on encouraging home builders to specify Angelus Block's Proto II, AWS, or Standard engineering CMU products. Your responsibilities will include:


Market Research and Prospecting:

Conducting market research to identify potential home builders and residential construction projects in target markets.

Prospecting and cold-calling home builders to introduce them to Angelus Block's CMU products and services.

Product Knowledge and Education:

Developing a deep understanding of Angelus Block's CMU product lines, including Proto II, AWS, and Standard engineering options.

Educating home builders on the features, benefits, and technical specifications of our CMU products, emphasizing their suitability for residential construction applications.

Building Relationships:

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers within home building companies, including project managers, architects, and purchasing agents.

Networking within the residential construction industry to expand Angelus Block's presence and influence.

Specification Promotion:

Working closely with landscape architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that Angelus Block's CMU products are specified in residential construction projects.

Providing technical support and assistance to architects and engineers during the specification process, highlighting the superior performance and cost-effectiveness of our CMU products.

 

 

 

Project Coordination:

Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to support the successful execution of residential construction projects using Angelus Block's CMU products.

Facilitating communication between home builders, contractors, and Angelus Block's production and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.

Market Feedback and Analysis:

Gathering feedback from home builders, architects, and contractors regarding market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity.

Analyzing market data and trends to identify opportunities for product innovation, improvement, or expansion.

Requirements:


Previous experience in sales or business development, preferably in the construction materials industry with a focus on concrete masonry products.

Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction materials and methods, particularly related to residential construction.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner.

Proven track record of building and maintaining successful business relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.

Willingness to travel within assigned territory as needed.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
