The position:

We are seeking an analytic and strategic-minded Head of Sales (SVP) to lead our wholesale team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership within the CPG industry, with a strong understanding of skincare/beauty. The omni-channel sales leader will have experience in developing TV, specialty retailers, and independent accounts. This position is responsible for managing the entire U.S. wholesale and TV teams as well as developing and maintaining strong cross functional partnerships. This key position will report directly into our Chief Executive Officer.


Scope:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term margin accretive, strategic sales plans to achieve key business growth targets
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales leaders, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support as needed
  • Relentlessly review segmentation and allocation strategies to ensure sustained growth and increased market share
  • In partnership with marketing, creative, and planning, deliver fully aligned annual business plans for each strategic customer
  • Strategically increase market share across categories and classifications in accordance with brand initiatives
  • Analyze sales data, competitive activities, and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth and optimization in existing business
  • Develop and maintain exceptional strategic account relationships
  • Develop a data driven mindset across the sales organization to inform all decisions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners in partnership with sales leads to maximize sales opportunities
  • Create a culture of success and goal achievement and implement strategies which support the needs of the sales teams, operations and required resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates and insights to senior management
  • In partnership with finance, analyze P&L by channel and seek revenue & profit improvement opportunities
  • In partnership with CEO, seek new distribution opportunities that align with brand vision and channel priorities
  • In partnership with marketing, devise new and innovative ways to market products and increase productivity.
  • Responsible for identifying sales growth opportunities and participating in negotiations to close strategic opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in wholesale roles within the consumer goods industry, preferably in beauty
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and building long term strategic plans for wholesale growth
  • Experience in TV shopping (HSN/QVC), Specialty (Ulta/Sephora), and independent and wholesale channels
  • Experience leading sales leaders to achieve their targets and developing a sales culture
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead account modeling, multiple forecasts, budgets, and P&Ls
