Job Summary

To provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for educating and developing our people throughout the organisation. Strategic use of learning technology to provide better efficiency and effectiveness of learning. Creating a culture of learning, development and growth that enables people to develop confidently. To create excitement in supporting our people in reaching their full potential through learning excellence. Develop and report on metrics to demonstrate effective learning.


Job Responsibilities

  • Influence leaders at all levels to adopt and support effective approaches to learning and development.

  • Drives a positive culture to support methodologies of adult learning.
  • Challenges outdated workplace learning by focusing on social learning and developing self-awareness, emotional intelligence and cultivating people connection - whilst having fun
  • Benchmark current skills, identify strengths, areas of risk and develop an understanding of the skill we have now, and in the future.
  • Has a full understanding of business areas and their specific training requirements.
  • Works in close partnership with regional teams across the organisation to understand the development needs for all employees and proactively deliver a schedule of innovative learning solutions to support these needs.
  • Support leadership development and help to manage succession planning.
  • Working with regional leaders in their markets to maximises the training levy to its fullest.
  • Collaborating with Global Head of Talent to create and support a framework of learning for career paths and succession planning.
  • Develop a library of content to accelerates training, to provide seamless access to pre-built and pre-validated content that can be launched in just a few clicks.
  • Develops and implements learning strategies and programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Tracks budgets, negotiates contracts, builds, and maintains relationships with third-party training providers.
  • Designs and produces training materials, to support virtual and in classroom learning.
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory, and developments in learning technologies.
  • Aspiring to become industry leaders in Aviation Ground Services training.
  • Produce management information reports, and proactively apply this to evaluate ROI of learning initiatives.
  • Ensure the health and safety of our people is at the forefront of every element of our work.
  • Bring to life our safety promises and values as a lived experience in all our learning.
  • Accountable for the day to day running of the LMS, including setting up and adding new courses, pathways, and material to the system.
  • Continuously review and look for opportunities to improve and develop the system; investigating and rolling out new functionality where appropriate, working with technology, information management and other stakeholders to bring this to fruition.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and research in, blended learning, digital learning, Human-centred design (HCD), and other relevant methodologies, to ensure that the LMS supports these approaches where applicable.
  • To keep training relevant, valued, simple and fun.
  • Communicate a regular internal training blog/bulletin to all staff to showcase our great work.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • A relevant master's degree is a plus Organizational Development, Training, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Training Lead or similar role in large-scale training and talent management projects.
  • Understanding of HR and talent management processes.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent training facilitation and presentation skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
  • Change management knowledge and experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
