Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Company Description

Our client, a distinguished healthcare organization backed by a prominent Private Equity (PE) firm, is actively seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a key role in their executive leadership team. Renowned for delivering high-quality healthcare services and being at the forefront of innovation within the healthcare sector, the company has established a formidable reputation. This role offers a unique opportunity for a strategic finance leader to contribute significantly to the company’s growth trajectory and operational excellence.

Job Description

The CFO will be instrumental in steering the company's financial strategy and management, overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and audit functions. Collaborating closely with other senior leaders and PE stakeholders, the CFO will develop and implement robust financial strategies that are aligned with the organization’s objectives and PE’s investment thesis, ensuring sustainable growth and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance and accounting teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s and PE firm’s objectives.
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning and analysis to optimize the company’s financial performance.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory financial requirements.
  • Deliver timely and precise financial reports and analyses to the executive team, board of directors, and PE stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of long-term strategic planning, new initiatives, and potential investments or divestitures.
  • Oversee risk management to ensure the protection of the company’s financial assets.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent senior role.
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare financial management.
  • Prior experience in a PE-backed company, with a proven track record of driving value creation for stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and management capabilities, with experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including advanced Excel skills.
