Under general direction of the Vice President, Operations and Business Development at Lumicera Health Services, the person employed as Director, Specialty Pharmacy Services is responsible for directing the vision and overall strategy of Lumicera and Lumicera partner pharmacy patient services. The Director is responsible for the creation and execution around strategies to create compliant, safe, and efficient front-end operations including prescription intake, BI/BV processes, prior authorization, and reimbursement operations, as well as the Lumicera call center and other operational support functions. Additionally, the Director is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing and training is provided to support operational redundancy and business continuity and fully maximize the staffing model. This position focuses on developing a culture focused on customer service excellence and patient safety. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the Patient Services department interfaces efficiently and effectively with the Clinical Services and Fulfillment departments as it relates to coordinated patient care efforts. As such, this position also will have responsibility to continually evaluate Lumicera and Lumicera partner pharmacies operational effectiveness and to develop and implement strategies in pursuit of operational excellence. The Director will recommend, develop, implement, monitor , and evaluate department goals, objectives , policies, and procedures related to the Patient Services department. The Director is responsible for front-end operational excellence with oversight of, and development and monitoring of pharmacy key performance indicators to meet organizational financial and service goals. The Director, Specialty Pharmacy Services position is expected to contribute, through their expertise , to overall Lumicera strategy and long-term planning. This position may have responsibilities around department annual budgeting, as needed. May represent the organization to the public, potential clients, and vendors. This position has management level direct reports. Travel to pharmacy sites, in person company meetings and/or conferences may be required .

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team ?

  • Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of Lumicera are put into practice.
  • Conduct operational redesign and develop and execute business strategies that increase services levels, operational capabilities, and efficiencies.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass profitability, and business goals and objectives .
  • Direct and oversee Patient Services staffing requirements by analyzing trends, developing forecasts, researching business requirements, and analyzing workflows.
  • Work with IT leadership to ensure necessary systems and applications are in place to support Member Services operations and that all operational systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, efficiency, and tracking/reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
  • Travel to pharmacy sites, clients, or conferences as needed or required to represent Lumicera or foster team building and/or performance improvement. (5-15%)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and technical training desired.
  • Minimum of five years of management experience in a Specialty Pharmacy, Managed Care or PBM environment strongly preferred.
  • Call center management experience required . Call Center management within healthcare preferred.
  • Knowledge of workforce management software and experience in utilizing successful strongly preferred.
  • Successful operational history of improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Emphasis is placed on problem-solving skills, including identifying and accepting a challenging situation and creating and implementing a solution.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees

USD $112,640.00 - USD $154,880.00 /Yr.
