Position Overview

The Director of Sales is responsible for the growth and management of the wholesale business in the Milwaukee Market. Oversight of the department includes leading the sales team, equipment technicians, and customer service. Collaborative oversight includes logistics/fulfillment support, training and events. Overall, the Director of Sales will report into the Vice President of Sales and will be integral in creating initiatives that drive the growth of the business and create partnerships with wholesale customers that are impactful and enduring. This job is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, strategic planning, working in a fast-paced and creative atmosphere, and is growth-minded. Job Responsibilities

As an employee of our Coffee Company, we provide our partners with superior customer service. As the leader of the Anodyne sales team that provides direct contact from our company to our customer, it is the responsibility of the Director of Sales to act with the sales team’s Core Values at all times. In addition to those, these responsibilities are assigned:

Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives. Create and communicate team and individual sales goals and provide quarterly progress towards goals. Develop a weekly/monthly scorecard that lays the foundation to build a robust customer pipeline for business. Effectively communicate financial outlooks and future planning through presentations and in team meetings. Hold weekly meetings with direct reports to build culture, education, and accountability. Nurture, support and develop each direct report with individual development and growth plans. Build collaborative relationships with marketing teams to provide support for initiatives and bringing product to life in market. This includes materials and assets that help promote partnership or products. Work with the production and customer service teams to support current systems and procedures (ordering, fulfillment, account management and communication). Manage and facilitate response in a timely manner (within 24 hours) to all incoming sales inquiries. This can be new sales or current account management. Manage pipeline of all sales leads and update in real time (NetSuite CRM platform). o Use this data to create projections for the production team and leadership team. Create a plan to develop new leads for new business dedicated to these channels of business: o 1) Cafes & Restaurants o 2) Grocery, Distribution, and Warehouse o 3) Hotel Hospitality o 4) Education and Healthcare o 5) Large Office/Workplace Actively schedule meetings throughout the week. Develop a network of professionals that recommend our products and services to their networks. Create collaborative sales opportunities and solutions to drive sales through FairWave. Communicate well with all members of FairWave support team: accounting, equipment maintenance, coffee sourcing, coffee roasting, production and fulfillment, events, marketing, CSR, and leadership. Establish a strong working relationship with the production manager, operations lead, and delivery team to execute communication of wholesale account needs, expectations, order inquiries, etc. Work with the accounting department and finance leadership to make sure accounts stay within payment terms and payment plans are executed. Maintain a high-level knowledge of industry and competition. Understand coffee trends, new equipment, updated resources, and keep an open mind on all coffee progression. Directly learn from and train with the Coffee QC and product development team, and trainers to be an expert on our coffee programming - lineup offerings, flavor profiles, Farm-Direct and Direct Trade relationships, cafe programming and setup, and new products. Develop a sales structure for events programming. Using our internal and external sales initiatives to drive engagement with our community. Learn, plan and execute training and onboarding programs for all new wholesale accounts. Work with wholesale trainers and equipment technicians to make sure all partners get high-levels of customer service and communication during onboarding, training, and setup. Maintain a service team check list to ensure equipment technicians are responding to all requests, invoicing accordingly and scheduling preventative maintenance checks as necessary for both internal cafes and wholesale customers. Emergency communications with accounts do happen - the expectation to respond and firmly pass off or handle is imperative. Work with production, delivery and wholesale managers to execute addressing emergencies at a high level. Proactively conduct yearly planning meetings to identify monthly & quarterly growth initiatilve that drive to the yearly sales target. Effectively communicate with other members of leadership team to absorb and give vision for growth.

Create a positive relationship with our own cafes. Our cafes personify our brands and create the demand for our wholesale business. Be an advocate for the coffee supply chain and our Farm-Direct and Direct Trade partners. Tell their stories and align with their well-being and success. Regularly visit accounts and spend time drinking coffee with them. Support and work events when appropriate. Maintain a positive attitude and help create a culture of optimism with all. Clean and maintain spaces where sales meetings take place. Support management and leadership with any special project requests or initiatives. High level of understanding about Coffee Company as a whole. The brands, markets and services. Build connections with sales and marketing leaders across the company to grow and support all business endeavors. Engage with our wholesale partners on social media. Responding, liking, and tagging when appropriate. Use your own network to spread an understanding of Anodyne Coffee products and services.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Passion for the industry and the customers we serve. Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience with progressive accomplishments. Track record of successful sales results and able to verify historical performance. High-level experience in tracking work through CRM or other pipeline tools. Experience using Microsoft Office specifically Excel & PowerPoint Analytical skills evaluate and manage sales and product data Quick adoption of other technologies that reinforce efficient time allocation, reporting, presentations, communication, and project management. Effective time management skills including managerial courage to lead professionally and inspire through growth and change.

Salary range- $90k- $105k plus 25% annual bonus potential
